THE STAGE
Every year, talented athletes get overlooked in the scramble toward big-name recruiting — not because they lack the talent, but because no one ever showed them, on camera, what an HBCU future could look like. The Stage exists to change that: a visibility platform for middle school and high school athletes who are HBCU-curious, HBCU-bound, or simply haven't decided yet. We showcase the talent. We document the journey. We connect elite potential to the legacy it belongs to.
HOW IT WORKS: THE STAGE SCORE

We built the Stage Score — a branded combine format that gives middle school and high school athletes a structured way to showcase their measurables on camera. No agent required, no invite-only circuit. Just the work athletes are already putting in, presented the same way top recruits get presented everywhere else.
NIL EDUCATION, BUILT IN

Most high school athletes have heard the term NIL. Few have ever been taught how it actually works. The Stage runs NIL education workshops alongside our combine events, so athletes and their families walk away understanding their options — not just their highlight reel.
GET FEATURED
Tag @hbcuproudstage or send us your highlight film directly, and we'll consider it for a repost on The Stage. No formal application. No gatekeeping. If the film shows the work, we want to see it.
WHERE WE'RE BUILDING

The Stage is anchored along a single corridor — Charlotte to Greensboro to Durham to Hampton Roads to DC — running through NC A&T, NCCU, Norfolk State, Hampton, and Howard. It's where the talent already is, and where the legacy is waiting.
